Magic in the Tetons, Part IV

After an epic night photographing the Milky Way in the Grand Tetons National Park we slept in before enjoying a hearty lunch and then heading out for our next adventure. The first three parts of the Magic in the Tetons Ladies Photography Retreat can be found here for Part I, Part II and Part III.

Our first stop after lunch was the Jackson Lake Overlook on Signal Mountain which provided stunning views of the mountains rising up behind the lake.

After capturing a few images of the full scene, I decided to concentrate on smaller sections or more intimate landscapes. Mt Moran in all it’s glory above Jackson Lake. I love the layers provided by the fingers of islands in the lake.

We ended our day with sunset at Cunningham Cabin. While we waited for the sun to set we explored the area around the cabin. This ground squirrel caught my eye as I was heading for a closer view of the horses.

Cunningham cabin was a unique structure with the Grand Teton Mountains providing a back drop that I would love to enjoy each day!

Tired but content with all we’ve accomplished, we head back to our cabins to sleep before an early wake up call to view sunrise. Tomorrow is our last day together and I’m trying not to dwell on the realization that I’ll be flying back home on Saturday. For now, I will soak up these moments and views!

Next week I’ll share the final part of my adventures in the Grand Teton National Park.

Photograph what brings you Joy!
