Busy Birdfeeders

Our birdfeeders have been busy this winter.  We’ve attracted old favorites and a few new species.  The Dark Eyed Junco.

The Yellow Finch, an old favorite but we saw Red Finches this winter too.

The Tufted Titmouse is a regular but the Marsh Sparrow is new.

I was thrilled that the Red Bellied Woodpecker was calmer this year.  I saw him last year but wasn’t able to get a photo.  He’s a little more relaxed this year.

And my personal favorite, the Cardinal.

The chick-a-dee’s are beginning to inspect the birdhouses so I know spring is here!  But I need to prevent the snakes from eating the baby birds – – – it’s happened before and I don’t want it to happen again!!  If you have any ideas to deter the snakes please share in the comments!  I’d appreciate any advice.  (and if I’ve mis-labeled a bird please let me know)
