A friend recently reminded me of all the wonders inside a library.
As I wandered the halls of my hometown library, memories washed over me. As a teenager I would ride my bike several miles to the library where I would spend hours. Sometimes I was researching for a school assignment or maybe I was giggling with my girlfriends between the rows of books or just stretched across a chair reading.
I was pleased to find the library filled with people of all ages and a little sad to realize the card catalog is now electronic. I understand the convenience but miss seeing that huge wood cabinet filled with thousands of cards.
The children’s section was colorful and inviting with several children speaking in hushed, excited voices.
I plan to visit more this year and explore the treasures held by all those books.
Love this one! you know me and my books. I still visit the library here often
